Tables are necessary for any kind of digital design work. For Adobe XD users there is no native tool to create simple data tables and fill specific types of infrmation into each column in the table.
If you are someone who likes to suffer needlessly then you can draw your own tables piece by piece, and even manually type the data in each cell. However, there is now a plugin that saves you the hassle.
Download the plugin
Download the Tables for XD plugin now or search for it directly inside Adobe XD’s plugin manager.
Select an Artboard
Once you’ve installed the tables plugin, open up the project you want to work in and select an artboard by clicking it.
Launch the Plugin
Use the menu to navigate to the Plugins panel, then click the Tables for XD button.
Set the table’s size
Inside the modal that opens up, set the number of rows and columns your table will have.
Style the table
Click the “design” tab and choose a style for the table.
Fill some data into your table
Click the ‘fake data” tab and choose which data type will be in each column of your table.
Generate the table
Finally click the “create” button. It will take a few seconds them Voila! your data table in Adobe XD is automatically created on the artboard.
